I originally had a plan to do a website for a school project about my favourite movies through history. I got bored and didn't do it in the end but with the creation of the Blair Space movie channel, it was perhaps time for a revival of the idea. Although there would need to be modifcations.

So basically, it has now turned into a timeline of movies that us crazy editors think are cool. Each of us have contributed the movies and why they are worth watching. So if ever you are wondering what movie to watch, just take a glance back in time...

1960
Psycho - Alfred Hitchcock presents a version Scream 36 years before it is released

1973
American Griffitti - the movie that made George Lucas

1976
Logan's Run - not a great movie, but it had a great idea behind it

1977
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - the movie that made George Lucas, erm, again!

1980
Shogun Assassin - made 25 years ago and it still has one of the highest body counts

1985
Breakfast Club - John Hughes's finest hour

1997
Titanic - we had to mention it, it is the most successful movie ever

1998
The Matrix - did the Wachowski brothers even realise this was a scientific theory?
Saving Private Ryan - Steven Spielberg proves that a Hollywood studio actually can make a good movie

1999
American Beauty - the most emo film ever and therefore the best
Blair Witch Project - students bulldoze Hollywood with a handheld camcorder, awesome

2003
Return of the King - it may never actually end but hell was it good!
